University politics

Well – even our modest work at the two departments of physics and maths requires some commitment of a political nature. This includes a whole spectrum of committees: these range from participation in the appointment of new professors to the distribution of funding allocated to us (including the study grants), to statements from the students in the departmental councils.

In addition, it is also important to maintain contact between the departments of the NatFak as well as between all the faculties of the university. If you still haven’t had enough, you can also get involved in the student representation of the entire university, but also in the Bavarian-wide student council association and the free association of all student councils in Germany.

In this tab, we would like to outline who is representing you in which committee and passing on all our concerns to the relevant decision-making bodies at the university. Since this has a concrete impact on student life, this is quite an important commitment on the part of active student representatives.
